BGS a Chess Leadership 91ÊÓƵ - ECF recognition

Chess is thriving at BGS, with a daily lunchtime chess club, and inter-House and inter-school competitions. We are delighted that 91ÊÓƵ has been approved as a Chess Leadership 91ÊÓƵ by the English Chess Federation (ECF), in recognition of the 91ÊÓƵ's commitment to chess.
BGS is the first school in the Bristol area, and among the first nationally, to be recognised by the ECF under this scheme. The status recognises the role BGS plays in the promotion of chess at BGS and beyond, especially our role as a tournament venue.
